Job Description
Location: Denver, CO
Pay: $25 – $33 an hour
Ramblin Fleet Services – Immediate opening for Bus Mechanic \ Diesel Technician!
** Will pay more for applicants with a CDL w/P endorsement (or willing and able to obtain one within 6 months)
Founded and owned locally, Ramblin Express has been providing excellence in passenger ground transportation service since 1993, with diverse operations in Denver and Colorado Springs. We currently have openings for a full-time Bus & Motorcoach Diesel Technicians / Diesel Mechanics within our Denver fleet services operations. We are a 24/7 operation in Denver and business is growing.
Qualifications
- Diesel engine repair: 2 years (required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (required)
- US work authorization (required)

- Will pay extra if you have a CDL (P) license ($1.00 extra per hour (based on experience) for mechanics/technicians that have obtained a CDL (class B) with passenger (P) endorsement

- Employee will be responsible for any lost or damaged (outside normal wear and tear) tools
- Tools/ box will become the property of the employee after 3 years of employment with Ramblin Express
- Work (safety) shoes provided 1X yearly with prior approval (only for those currently enrolled in the apprentice toolbox program (in lieu of the tool/work shoe allowance).
- Tool/Work shoe allowance applicable following the three (3) year apprentice program

Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience with heavy duty truck/bus diesel engines
- ASE certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license: (CDL w(P) preferred – will pay more)
- Demonstrated/proven superior customer service skills
- Ability to read and understand repair manuals
- Ability to pass pre-employment-controlled substance test and criminal background check including fingerprinting with the Department of Regulatory Agencies.

SIMPLE IRA

CELL PHONE REIMBURSEMENT:

On CALL pay (stipend):
- $35.00 Per Day for every day “on call”
PERSONAL PAID TIME OFF (PPTO) & Personal Paid Days (PPD)
- Personal Paid Time Off (PPTO)
- Earned and accrued from “day one”; 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per (calendar) year; not to exceed 48 hours if carried over.
- Earnings balance paid out upon termination
- Personal Paid Days (PPD) (AKA: Vacation) (*in addition to PPTO above)
- 2 days (16 hours) after 1 year of FT employment
- 5 days (40 hours) after 2 years of FT employment
- 7 days (56 hours) after 3 years of FT employment
- 10 days (80 hours) after 5 years of FT employment
- PPD is use or lose and not eligible for payout upon termination.
- PPTO = calculated by calendar year
- PPD = Anniversary date

- $2,400 annual allowance for tools & work shoes
- Paid out monthly @$200.00

APPRENTICE TOOLBOX PROGRAM (New hires only & for job classification of Mechanic only)
